This year has been one of adaptation and growth, both in our ministry and in our family. We have adapted and grown in what the Lord has called us here to do, and we have witnessed His faithfulness time and time again. We have also grown as a family! In May, we found out that we are expecting our second baby, who will arrive in late January.

Many exciting things have been happening over the past few months, and we are excited to share them with you all. In late May, Rodrigo took a trip to Albania, where he had the opportunity to teach a group of pastors about discipleship and church planting. The atmosphere in the country proved challenging, but seeds were planted, and we know that the Lord had a purpose for this trip and a plan for the expansion of the Kingdom in Albania.

In July, we started an in-depth Bible study for the young adults of our local church, every Tuesday evening at our house. It started out small, with 5 who attended. We have been so encouraged to see this group flourish and deepen in their faith! We are excited to resume the group this fall. Since it looks like the group will grow in number, one of the young adults has offered her home to host it, as it is also a more central location for everyone.

Also in July, we received Maddie’s finalized residency paperwork! That was an immense blessing, because it came just in time for us to travel to Guatemala in early August. We were so thankful to be able to make the trip to Guatemala to visit family, friends, and supporting churches. Many of Rodrigo’s family members hadn’t met Maddie yet, so it was a special time to spend all together. We also had the opportunity to serve at three churches while we were there. One of them is Rodrigo’s parents’ church, where we were able to lead worship several times, and Rodrigo preached one of the Sundays. We were also able to lead worship one Sunday at Iglesia del Camino in Antigua. On our second-to-last Sunday, we were at a church in Guatemala City, where Rodrigo had the blessing of playing with the worship team, preaching, and sharing the message with the worship team at their discipleship group.

While we were in Guatemala, we made an appointment with a doctor for a check-up on the baby and, hopefully, to find out the baby’s gender. We are having a BOY! We have named him Lucas Gabriel, and we are so excited to welcome him in January! Later that same day, we were able to have a small family gender reveal.

When we returned to Spain, we jumped right into rehearsals and preparations for the WOW Women’s Conference. This conference was started in 2018 by our head church in Singapore, and this was the first one to be held in Europe. Women came from many countries all over the world to be a part of it! We were able to serve with the worship team, as well as translate for various speakers. It was a great event, where many women’s lives were touched and changed by the presence of God!

Rodrigo visited Barcelona, where we continued to encourage a church that has planted 8 house churches in the last year. He had time to train the leadership in the process of discipleship and in endurance in pastoring. He also visited a few people we met earlier this year, and we plan to start working with them in 2027 in Barcelona and in the north of Spain.

Please pray for the upcoming events we will be involved in. In November, Rodrigo will attend a church planting event organized by Empower 21, where we expect to meet key people to partner with on the continent. Help us pray for divine encounters and partnerships. Also, at the end of the month, he will travel to Argentina to start the Harvesters Bible School Training with local pastors in Buenos Aires.

We want to thank each of you for your faithful support of our ministry. It is not something we take lightly or for granted. We are so grateful to the Lord for allowing us to partner with you to be a part of what He is doing here in Europe. Thank you for taking the time to read our update on the last couple of months!

Blessings from the Hernandez family!
