It has been just over a month since we moved to Spain! We have settled in and are adapting well to our new environment. These past weeks have been filled with various trips to government offices to get our residency cards and other legal processes that had to be done once we arrived in country.

We have already become involved in serving at our new local church! We have helped lead a few times of worship and this past Saturday Rodrigo shared at RUJA which is a monthly activity where all the youth groups of the area gather together for fellowship, games, and a message. We feel so blessed to already have a church family who has welcomed us and allowed us to join in what the Lord has called this church to do.

We bought a car! Friends of ours sold us their 2006 Citroën C4 (we have named it “the bomb”). It has been an incredible blessing to have transportation so we don’t have to rely on others to get us around. We continue to see the Lord provide for all our needs! He is faithful!

We have continued to receive trainings with Harvesters on how to teach the various courses to pastors and their congregations. In the second week of August, we have scheduled a trip to Madrid to meet with several organizations that are working in Europe. We are going in order to plan strategies of how we will work together, beginning in Spain with the hopes of expanding to the rest of Europe. This trip will also include some one-on-one, follow-up meeting with the pastors we have been working with. We understand that pastoral work can oftentimes feel lonely, so we want to take advantage of the trip to Madrid to meet with them, listen to their stories, and encourage them in their work.
At the time, we had a lot of questions on why the Lord made us wait to move to Spain. Now that we are here, we see how beneficial it has been to move during the summer. This has given us the chance to settle in while we continue to work towards our goals.
In early September we have a trip planned to South Africa for the annual strategic meetings with all of the Regional and Continent Directors of Harvesters Ministries. We will also be attending the Legacy Conference. This is an event specifically for Harvesters Licensed Trainers, where people from different places gather to be ignited in the vision of planting churches, listen to firsthand testimonies from all over the world and have fellowship to be encouraged to keep working for the Kingdom.
How to support us in prayer.
We are praying for wisdom and the divine strategies to partner with the organizations that we have made contact with in Europe. We understand that each region is different and we want to honor the Body of Christ by being faithful to His calling to His church. We know we can’t do this alone, and that we go farther united.
We are still working on legal documents, so keep praying for grace and speedy processes. One of them is that Rodri needs a South-African visa, so help us pray that his visa is approved so we can proceed with our plans in September.
If you would also like to support us financially, you can do so by clicking HERE.
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers and believing in what God is doing in and through us.
Rodri & Katie.
