FEBRUARY 2024 [ENG] - Waiting is not Absence -

The year started off filled with expectation for the new season God has placed us in. We know that new seasons are accompanied by

new challenges, but we thought it would be different (God always has a way of surprising us). The process of getting the religious visa has been longer than we expected. Our travel dates have been postponed  several times. Days pass and we see ourselves in the same place, but only on the outside.

From the outside, it seems like time wasted. From the inside, sometimes anxiety and questions arise. But from above, all is in control. In Romans 5 the apostle Paul said that tribulations produce patience. In 2 Peter Scripture says that patience produces the fear of the Lord in us. A few months ago, the Lord spoke to us saying that He was not testing our faith, but teaching us to have faith. That word has sustained us in the middle of doubts, has made us productive in the meantime, and has enabled us to hear the Lord speak in the middle of uncertainty. He has allowed us to enjoy these days among family, friends and our church.

The last weeks we have been working on setting up the work structure that we are going to be using during this year. We have been planning, training, following up, and a lot of praying for the congregations and pastors that we are going to meet and work with during this year. We have been part of online training sessions with the Harvesters team in South Africa. The time zone change has been a challenge.

We are grateful because God allowed us to connect with a pastor in Italy. Although we had plans to meet him in person in March and start working with a network in the country, the visa delays made us postpone the trip. We have plans to visit Naples and the island of Ischia (is-qui-a). Even though we are still in Guatemala, we continue to work online in spite of the distance and the time change.

We want to ask for your prayers in specific areas. First, that the visa process speeds up so that we can travel to Spain in the upcoming days. Second, the moving costs. That traveling to and settling in to our new home in Almería would be filled with grace and favor from God. Third, that the work we are doing these days is effective and would pave the road for the trainings to come.

Thank you for your support in prayer and financially. Thank you for believing in what God has placed in our hands.

"To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” (2 Peter. 3:18)
